Street Style ~ Hong Kong / Ching

It’s been a while since I’ve posted. I met Ching on the way home from work. She travels around all over Asia alot. She wore a casual attire to work this day as she says. Ching’s wearing a floral patterned and hooded jacket from Malaysia, a baggy white blouse, oversized pockets cropped trousers and some cute and chic brown boots.

Christopher Shannon is genius. OK he might not be a scientific genius but his menswear collection is really good. His collection is inspired by his interest in photojournalism and David Attenborough’s Planet series, where he noticed sportswear such as old tracksuit tops were worn by tribes along with their traditional clothes.
This barber style, quilted jumper is my favourite. There is also same style tracksuit bottoms.
Here you can see the tribal influence with the lines of Peruvian style embellished fabrics on the top of the classic white shirts. 
I love the ruffles of nylon waterproof coat-like material on a normal grey jacket hoodie

I love the mesh of different fabrics he has used. Nylon is mixed with knitted fabrics and Peruvian style embellishment. I also love how he scouts his models for his show from the street so they are just regular lads walking down the catwalk. He has truly changed peoples views on menswear. Can’t wait to see what he’s going to do next!

I did not expect this attire from a 21 year old Art Student, but I like it alot. Speaking with Lee Kai more about his interests, he also makes films and music videos and have a very businessman attitude about him. Keeping the trilby, loafers and blazer/shirt combo casual with the dark jeans, I really liked the outfit. (He also carried a man-bag but he put it down for the shot, shame.)
