Lovely Lace

A big trend for Spring 2011 is sheer lace fabrics.  Designers opted for romantic designs this season and the catwalk exposed some beautiful lace dresses, tops and even hotpants.  To achieve an understated sexy look, lace is the perfect choice of material to wear.  It is both flirty and feminine as well as having the benefit of the sheer material revealing just the right amount of skin.

At this year’s Academy Awards Ceremony Mila Kunis, Melissa Leo and Scarlett Johansson received great reviews from fashion critics for donning themselves in eye-catching lace dresses. On the Spring runway, Dolce & Gabbana and Erdem presented all over lace styles while Anna Sui shows that areas of detailed lace incorporated into an outfit can be just as effective.
