All that glitters may not be gold but sequins are seriously sexy this season…

A trend usually reserved for the festive party season has reappeared on the fashion radar early this year. Once a look favoured by Maureen at the office Christmas party (you know the one, a piece of mistletoe permanently in her hand, winking suggestively at the work experience boy) sequins featured heavily in the Spring Summer collections of Diane Von Furstenberg, Giorgio Armani and Just Cavalli.

All that glitters may not be gold, but all that sparkles is seriously sexy this season…

And where the catwalk and designers lead the celebs are sure to follow, here’s my top 3 dazzlingly dressed divas this week:

Jessie J is virtually unrecognisable out of her trademark leotard at the Glamour Women of the Year awards. With her enviable curves poured into this sparkling Dolce and Gabbana number, her slick, retro waves and  feline flicks she’s every inch the sequined siren.

Our favourite royal is stunning in this rose sequined Jenny Packham gown she wore to attend the ARK charity gala event last week. She kept her accessories simple with a cute satin box clutch, LK Bennett heels and her signature bouncy blow-dry, allowing the dress to do the talking.

Leighton Meester ensures she’s the hot topic of conversation in this silver Balmain shift dress at the MTV Movie Awards. She also opted for minimal accessories and simple hair resulting in a shimmering stylish look.
